SkinPen microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries to stimulate the body’s natural wound-healing process. When in repair mode, the body increases collagen, fibrin, and elastin production to tighten, lift and rejuvenate the skin as well as effective remodeling of acne scar tissue, crepey skin, scarring, minimize pores and stretch marks. What to expect: This entire procedure takes approximately 45 minutes start to finish. First a topical numbing anesthetic cream is applied for 15 min to minimize discomfort. The SkinPen wand gently glides over the skin surface while a customized blend of skin products are microneedled into the skin the surface fo the skin. Most clients report a mild redness similar to a mild sunburn for 1-2 days following the procedure. After that, you may expect to see a small amount of skin flaking as the skin repairs itself over the next few days. This treatment is recommended as a series of 3 visits spaced approximately 30 days apart.
